Value Structure: Landscape Painting with John Fleck

Join us for a fun and informative landscape painting workshop with artist John Fleck. Participants may paint in either acrylic or oils. This workshop will take place in the studio on two consecutive Sunday mornings: (June 14th and 21st from 10:30–1:30.)
John Fleck is an expressive landscape painter who teaches at various schools around Chicagoland. His grasp of color as it relates to value is evident in his work. His patient demeanor and articulate manner of teaching enables students to understand important painting concepts."
The workshop will take place indoors. Main topics will be:
• Value structures commonly appearing in the landscape
• The importance of value in terms of getting form across in painting
• Color temperature changes: light and distance
Students will be given a supply list upon registration. The supply list will be simple and the instructor is flexible regarding supplies. Also, extra supplies will be available for a small fee.
Surfaces: canvas board or stretched canvas, approx 11 by 14" (max size: 16 by 20 inches)

Red:
Warm (Cad Red Lt.)
Cool (Alizarin Crimson or Quinacridone)
Yellow:
Warm (Cad Yellow Medium)
Cool (Lemon Yellow)
Blue:
Warm (Ultramarine Blue)
Cool (Phthalo or Cerulean)
White
*I have paint in my studio that you can use if you are missing any other these colors. We can share.
