Celestial Highlights at the Hayden Planetarium

It's the triumphant return of the Saturday Scientists!! Let's do it big by partying with the Perseid meteor shower (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perseids).

The Hayden Planetarium at the Natural History Museum regularly hosts tours of the current celestial situation. Here's the lowdown for July 27...

"We can look forward to the annual performance of the Perseid Meteor Shower; one of the best of the annual meteor displays. This year will be especially favorable, with no interference from bright moonlight. We'll also look at a number of summer constellations as well as the beautiful Milky Way."
