Camping and Kayaking at Fort McAllister State Park

Nestled among giant live oaks; Spanish moss and salt marsh, this park is a beautiful location for camping and kayaking. The shaded campground is nearby tidal Redbird Creek and the Ogeechee River. Besides kayaking you can enjoy hiking trails, picnicking or visiting the old Civil War fort.
We will be organizing kayak trips, details TBA. Kayaking is for experienced paddlers only please. BYOK (bring your own Kayak) Sorry we do not have loaners.
Our group will have a gathering around the campfire (site TBA) both Friday and Saturday nights (weather permitting). A great way to make new friends!

Each campsite fits 2 tents (or 1 trailer and 1 tent) and 2 cars, so feel free to share with someone. You will need to bring your own Tent (or Trailer), firewood if you have it, your food, and all of your camping equipment.
NOTE: This trip is also being announced in the "Lowcountry Adventures" group. Please only RSVP in one group or another, not both.
