Givhans Ferry Camping and Tubing Float Trip

It's that time for a summer camp and float trip down the Edisto River at Givhans Ferry State Park, SC.

We'll be setting up camp in the main campground (not the primitive area) starting on Friday afternoon thru Sunday morning. Tubing float trip will be held on Sat, Aug 22 around 1pm. Day trippers are welcome too if you just want to come out Sat for the float trip.

Everyone will need to reserve your own camping spot in the main campground. Sharing campsites with another person is also a good idea. We'll have a social around a campsite firepit on Friday and Sat evenings.

We plan on meeting at the launch area around 1pm to kick off the party, float trip which is about 3 miles distance down the Edisto River. Show up at the launch area with your inflated floaty thing(s), drinks and snacks ready to go. How fast the trip goes is dependent on water flow at that time.

We'll need volunteers to help shuttle floaters back from the take out spot downriver to the park. If you can help with shuttle please leave a comment that you can help. Shuttle drivers/cars will meet in the parking lot area at around 11am on Sat to shuttle cars down to the pull-out spot (TW Messervy Boat Landing).
