Barton Creek Night Hike

Details
Come on out and listen to the frogs, nocturnal birds, and chirping insects as we hike along a section of the Barton Creek Greenbelt at night. This will be an out-and-back hike. The Greenbelt officially closes at 10 pm, so we will be back to the trailhead by 9:55 pm. You will need to bring with you a flashlight/headlamp, some water, and wear closed-toed shoes. The trail is over uneven ground and parts are rocky. We will go a little over 0.75 miles before turning around (1.5 miles total) and we will be stopping a dozen or so times to look at nocturnal creatures/plants etc.
Your guide will be me, a local Capital Area Master Naturalist, who can chat briefly about the program if you are curious. I was a Wildlife major and am familiar with most of the critters and plants we'll come across.
We'll meet at the Spyglass trailhead of the greenbelt located at Dead-end of Barton Skyway before 7:45 pm and will be departing shortly thereafter.
Dogs on a leash who are picked up after are welcome. Afterwards if people are up for it, we can travel down the Mopac access road to Barton Springs Rd and into Barton Springs Saloon ( 424 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704 ) for refreshments.
