Stop Feeling Like You Have to Defend Yourself or Fix Things With Your Wife
Details
When your wife brings up something that's bothering her, do you immediately feel like you need to explain yourself, defend what you meant, or find a solution?
You want her to understand you. You want things to be okay between you. But the pressure to say the right thing or make it better leaves you feeling worked up before you've had a chance to decide how to respond.
What if that pressure could feel less intense before the next conversation happens?
In this practical, 60-minute men's workshop, you'll experience a way to reduce the emotional charge attached to a frustrating situation.
You'll work with one manageable moment when you felt you had to defend yourself or fix things, notice what changes for you, and choose a situation where you'll practise during the week.
Explaining your side and finding solutions can both be useful. The goal is to feel less pushed to do either immediately, so you have more choice in how you respond.
If you attended the last meetup, we practised a physical anchor to use when you were already feeling worked up. This time, we're exploring reducing some of that emotional pressure beforehand. No previous attendance required.
Expect a guided exercise, discussion and time for questions. You don't need to visualize clearly or share private details.
Bring one mild frustration you'd like to handle differently.
