This International Women’s Day, Small Business BC, alongside our partners at WeBC and Futurpreneur, is celebrating the invaluable contributions of BC’s women entrepreneurs with an in-person meetup and panel discussion.

Join us on March 8th from 4:30 pm to 7 pm at the Small Business BC office for an evening of networking and education featuring the following panelists:

  • Sam Simonton - Samantha “Sam” Simonton is a dynamic business leader with over 20 years of experience in the furniture industry. She founded two companies and raised capital for the growth of her last venture. Now, Sam is both an e-commerce furniture consultant and Chair/Facilitator for TEC Canada, where CEOs gather as an exclusive group to face their biggest challenges and grow through leadership development.
  • Anna Chan - Anna Chan is the Founder of myMomentum, a community centric platform that helps people and businesses find momentum, one snack box at a time! Best known for her positivity & energy, Anna has a passion for all things wellness, start up, & community. She has spent nearly 20 years experience working in all facets of business development both in Canada & abroad.
  • Mai Eilia - Mai Eilia is a marketing and business professional with a passion for excellence in customer service. Originally from Syria, Mai began her career in Dubai, where she gained invaluable experience in advertising and marketing for major global brands. After several years in Dubai, Mai relocated to Canada, where she established her own successful business in the home renovation industry.
  • Coralee Beatty - Coralee has been in the construction industry for over 25 years and started her career as a building envelope consultant for a multinational engineering firm. Upon retiring from the engineering firm, she started working full time with her husband on the mechanical contracting business they started together.

Bring your questions and energy as we discuss important topics like:

· How we can mentor the next generation of women leaders
· Increasing women-owned businesses in BC
· Programs available to help women entrepreneurs start and grow
· How to source funding to start your business

5:40 pm – 6:20 pm – Panel Discussion

6:30 pm – 7:00 pm – Networking

Registration costs just $10. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
