Business Planning for Success

Whether you’re starting a business or you’re looking to put your existing business on the path to success, a business plan provides the blueprint you’ll need to achieve your goals. On October 23rd, join Small Business BC, and our partners at FortisBC, for an informative and collaborative meetup designed to walk you through the business planning process and answer your burning questions.

Taking place at the Small Business BC office, this invaluable session will be hosted by Yvonne Bayer-Cheung and Vivia Xu, where they will be joined by local entrepreneurs Mansour Khazraei-Manesh and Maria Ansorena to share their insights.

  • Yvonne Bayer-Cheung is a passionate entrepreneur, business strategist, and advisor, with a diverse range of experience in management and leadership, marketing, operations, and financial lending. Most recently, she was a Business Advisor at the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba (WECM) for three years.
  • Vivia Xu is a Business Plan Advisor known for her strategic acumen and results-driven approach in business development across diverse industries globally. She combines an entrepreneurial mindset with profound expertise in small business planning, setup, and strategic execution. Vivia consistently drives the growth of ventures through meticulous market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and tailored business strategies. Passionate about identifying new opportunities, Vivia is committed to fostering sustainable business growth.
  • Mansour Khazraei-Manesh is an entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in product development and business leadership. He has worked on growing ventures and mentoring several startup companies, which has deepened his understanding of the value of strategic documents, such as market research and business plans, in driving business success. He is currently launching Persian Stew, a kitchen that specializes in cooking Persian meals for online sales and distribution through Persian supermarkets.
  • Maria Ansorena is the Principal and Owner of Mama Moon Childcare Centre. Born in Spain, Maria’s passion for early childhood education began in childhood as she babysat for family and neighbors. Her career began in Australia, where she worked as a support teacher before opening her first daycare in Spain in 2007, where she spent 12 years honing her skills. As a mother of four, Maria draws inspiration from her children and shares her journey with her husband, Daniel, who is also an Early Childhood Educator. Together, they’re dedicated to creating a nurturing environment at Mama Moon Childcare Centre.
