Hello SCFS Friends, it is that time of the year when our SCFS Members gather together to give back to our community. As in the previous years our generous members have come together to help our neighbors who have a real interest in learning this recreational paddle sport. Members bring to this meetup a wealth of kayaking knowledge and who allow folks to try out their boats. We invite the community who are 50+ to experience this sport with the assistance of SCFS members. Our goal is to help those who are genuinely interested find a boat that will fit and work well with them so when they start out like we all did have they will have a good understanding of what type of boat they should be looking for. This event cannot be successful without the generousity of our members. Please bring your personal boats and a picnic shareable item to enjoy with the hotdogs provided and spend part of your day on beautiful Lake Murray with your friends. if this will be your first event with us, we look forward to meeting you. PS for those who participated before, we will be at a better location and shelter. No hill to climb. We will be at Tournment Shelter #2. This shelter provides better access to unload your kayaks to the shore and a short walk from shelter to waters edge.
