What we’re about
This is a group for anyone interested in the Scala programming language, functional programming and programming languages in general. We speak greek and english.
The aim of the group is to popularize the Scala programming language in the local greek communities, through various forms of learning, ranging from simple topic presentations to mixed meetings with lectures and coding.
We like to hear about and program in Scala. We are not interested in any specific ecosystem or library. We are welcoming all of them! Diversity and inclusion is a big part of this group so please make sure both your behaviours and presentations demonstrate the appropriate respect to everyone.
Knowledge of Scala is not assumed, only a willingness to learn and an open mind. Meetups are addressed to a wide range of recipients, from beginners to people with several years of experience in Scala. Scala is a very extensive language and takes years to master every important aspect.
We are always keen for any kind of sponsorships in terms of physical meeting space, food or drinks, but we will make sure we meet even without these extras ;)
