Talks

Katrin will be presenting a talk called Easy Scalability with Akka. The Actor pattern, Akka Persistence, Clustering and CQRS: how to quickly and easily build a scalable 'enterprise grade' web service. She'll also share a summary of what went down at the Scala Days conference in San Francisco.

I'll (Sean) be presenting a short introduction to Apache Spark. We'll discuss how Spark works and its ability to plug into various cluster technologies. A few example operations will be demonstrated.
