Scaleway growth challenges & Large scale deployment on Kubernetes
Dear Cloud Riders! Here we are back on stage and thrilled to announce our first Meetup of the year on April 26, 2018! We will be talking about Scaleway, Cloud Computing and Kubernetes while enjoying fresh beers and pizzas in our amazing Hackerhouse. It is a great opportunity to discover the behind the scenes of a cloud infrastructure provider, meet the teams and learn more about Scaleway! 1st talk: Scaling the Compute Platform: Growth challenges The last three years went crazy as the Scaleway platform grew from thousands of servers to tens of thousands of servers across multiple datacenters! As we are set for more growth in the upcoming year, we expect over one hundred thousand servers, which all brings amazing challenges, so here we are with the story of how we built a Cloud Infrastructure service from scratch and what challenges we had to overcome! 2nd talk: Hosting a self made Kubernetes infrastructure on Scaleway Dive-in with us on the setup of your own custom-made yet highly redundant implementation of the Kubernetes cluster. We will talk about a lot of interesting technical topics: - type of nodes, persitant storage, and hight availablility - Terraform - Ansible - dynamic inventory - kubeadm and the multimasters - nginx-ingress-controller and kube-lego - Glusterfs and Heketi for dynamic storage Places are limited, so please RSVP in advance! Join us on twitter @scaleway (https://twitter.com/scaleway) to stay tuned on what's coming next! If you want to join the adventure, we are hiring at Paris and Lille: https://careers.scaleway.com See you soon!
