What we’re about
Here in the Southwest, there are rarely any opportunities to speak Norwegian, Swedish or Danish, so why not create our own? If you speak a Scandinavian language and are in the greater Santa Fe area, come join us!
Our members are a diverse group of university students who have travelled abroad, native-speaking expats, international students, Scandinavian-Americans and language nerds who meet over coffee or a beer at least once a month and enjoy each other's company.
All language levels are welcome, though please bear in mind that this is a conversation-based language group and there will be almost no English spoken, so please be prepared. We don't teach, we talk!
Usual events include things like meeting over coffee or going out for drinks. If you have an idea for an event, please don't hesitate to send a message to Charles so he can make you an event host!
You might also be interested in our Albuquerque Meetup group if you find yourself in the area.
Our sponsor, the Scandinavian Club of Albuquerque, has been promoting Scandinavian culture in New Mexico since 1972. Check out their Facebook page for information on how to become a member and events such as their annual crayfish party, Julefest and Julebutikk.
