The goal of our group is to meet fellow Scandinavians interested in building a stronger Scandinavian community in Portland and surrounding areas.From Scandinavian cultural events to hiking, from Happy Hours to full blown parties, let’s build a strong Scandinavian community and celebrate our heritage.

Here is another great reason to get out of the house and hang out with your “Countrymen”! BREAKFAST is served at Norse hall. If you’ve never been to Norse Hall for a “Viking Pancake Breakfast, the scrambled eggs alone, are worth the trip!

“Enjoy our delicious all-you-can-eat Viking pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links, fresh fruit, strawberry compote, lingonberries, orange juice and coffee or tea—served in our charming Bergen Dining Room. Adults $12, Children ages 3-10 $6, Children under age 3 are free. Parking is free.”

Here is a great opportunity to meet up with fellow Scandinavians and socialize in a private lounge. The happy hour group is currently watching a Norwegian television series called, “Billionaire Island”. If you haven’t seen this show yet, that isn’t a problem there are people on hand to catch you up prior to starting the show.
For our convenience, there is a fully stocked bar and a great bartender ready and willing to make all of our favorites.

Norse Hall, Oslo Lounge, Portland, OR
Hipp, Hipp hurra! Please join us for our annual Syttende Mai celebration. Enjoy authentic Norwegian food, available for purchase from Viking Soul Food. Free hot dogs and ice cream for the kids provided by the Frida Hansen Daughters of Norway lodge, served from 1-3pm. The Oslo Lounge will be open until 6pm. The DaVinci Middle School marching band will lead our parade starting at 3:30pm. It’s a great day to celebrate our heritage!

If you have kids, this would be a great opportunity to walk with them in a parade that is all about celebrating kids.

We are hosting our first annual Norse hall Halloween Party at Norse Hall in NE Portland.
Norse Hall has one of the oldest and grandest dance floors in the Portland area.
The Sweetwater Band, “The Northwest’s Premier Live Entertainment Band!” will be on stage playing a 3-4 hour set. The Sweetwater Band is a high-energy, “get you on your feet”, feel-good group. They play your favorite music, inspired by Rock & Roll, Old & New Country, Pop, Disco, Funk and Blues - All the best hits and fan favorites from yesterday and today! The Oslo Lounge will be fully staffed and ready to make your favorite drinks.
