Kubernetes for Developers: A short introduction

Details
Kubernetes is an incredibly versatile tool for platform development, but this versatility comes with some complexity. This short introduction will approach teaching Kubernetes from a Consumer, rather than from a Platform Operator perspective.
-
We will talk about the basics of networking, containers, storage and operators, while keeping a focus on providing useful tools and techniques to utilize Kubernetes to the largest extend possible, instead of treating it like a more expensive Docker VM.
-
We will use analogues from older/traditional ways of doing infrastructure to introduce the core concepts of Kubernetes to provide a more digestible point to jump into the ecosystem.
While under no circumstances claiming being a complete tutorial, we will establish the foundational knowledge necessary to use provided K8s platforms and enable you to ask the questions to dive deeper into the topic of Cloud Native.
