Scarborough Eats @ Nakamori

One of the reasons I started this group was to introduce members to local hidden gems. This month’s restaurant definitely fits the bill, as it’s located in a nondescript plaza beside what was once a local Scarborough hot spot. Nakamori is a Japanese restaurant helmed by the former master chef of Mikado in East York. Describing itself as “A bit Scarborough, a bit Japanese…” I’m confident attendees of this event will be surprised by the craftsmanship put into each dish that they order. This Meetup is limited to 10 people, this should allow for a more intimate dining experience. The agenda for the evening will start with an icebreaker (introductions) and end with attendees creating a restaurant review that can be posted to either Google or Yelp! Reviews (positive or constructive) support this group’s goal of changing perceptions and helping local restaurateurs take their business to the next level.

There is a $5 fee for this event which is payable via cash on the day of. This fee will help to cover event materials as well as the organizer’s time.

IMPORTANT: Please RSVP only if you are 100% sure you can attend. Last event we had a few no-shows that meant those on the wait list were unable to attend. As before, I will send a reminder to attendees a week before the event at which point you can update your status and allow wait listed members enough time to confirm their attendance.
