Channing Tatum is getting raves for his performance in a new crime comedy that is drawn from actual events.

Roofman stars Tatum as a real-life serial robber who hid out in a toy store after escaping prison.

The story begins in 1998 when Jeffrey Manchester, a divorced U.S. Army veteran living in North Carolina, is struggling to provide for his three young children. Jeffrey is reminded by an army friend of his powerful skills of observation. Jeffrey uses his knack for noticing and exploiting routines to rob a McDonald's, breaking in through the roof at night.

Over the next two years, Jeffrey carries out over 40 robberies with the same strategy, capturing the attention of the authorities and the media as the mysterious "Roofman." When he is nabbed and sentenced to 45
years in prison, Jeffrey uses his attention to routines to escape by hiding underneath a delivery truck. And his saga grows even more bizarre.

Roofman is directed by Derek Cianfrance and is written by the director and Kirt Gunn. The film co-stars Kirsten Dunst, Ben Mendelson, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Melonie Diaz, Uzo Aduba and Peter Dinklage.

Showtime is 3:15 pm. Let's meet a half hour before showtime in the lobby to get seats together.

Please note: You save 20 percent off your ticket with this earlier screening.

After the show we can grab a bite at Tecalitlan. Please bring cash because the restaurant can be temperamental about separate checks.

Hope to see you there.
