Let's watch the Chopin concert in Millennium Park
Details
Chopin is always a classic.
Garrick Ohlsson—one of only two Americans to have won the International Chopin Piano Competition—returns to the Grant Park Music Festival to perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
Conducted by Giancarlo Guerrero, the program also journeys to Mexico and Italy with Juan Pablo Contreras’s lively Mariachitlán and Tchaikovsky’s tuneful Capriccio Italien.
Please bring a picnic and your favorite beverage. Food and drinks are also available for purchase outside the Pavilion.
The concert begins at 6:30 pm. Let's meet a half hour before then at the western entrance to the seating area of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion near the cement dividing wall. Then we can get seats together.
Hope to see you there.
