Saturday Walk: Totternhoe to Church End

Details
This is a brand new 6.5 mile walk from the Cross Keys pub in Totternhoe, up into Totternhoe Knolls, a 32 acre Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) just outside Dunstable. Our route then takes us back down to the hamlet of Church End and then along the Sewell Greenway nature reserve, formerly part of the London North West Railway line, which closed in 1962. Finally, we'll ascend to the top of what was Totternhoe Castle, where, if you wish, you can picnic there at the top for as long as you wish, as the pub (and the walk's end point) is only a two minute walk down the steps from there. Walking time approx. 2.5 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
If you wish to, you can stay afterwards for a chat, drink and food at the Cross Keys pub.
Meeting Point and Free Parking
In the first instance, please park in the layby 200 yards down the hill on the main road if you can. As always, I prefer we avoid taking up too much of the pub's car park.
We'll meet outside the Cross Keys pub in Totternhoe.
Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
If you are unable to attend please be sure to change your RSVP otherwise our departure will be delayed. If you have any urgent (arrival related) messages within an hour of the start time please post them to the event's Meetup page comments.
