Saturday Walk: Three Locks to Rushmere Country Park, Leighton Buzzard
Details
This is a brand new route, a part of which we did last year, around the amazing and gorgeous Rushmere Country Park, however, this time we'll be reaching Rushmere via a walk down the canal and village pathways from the Three Locks, which is both a pub and a public car park just next to it. Rushmere Country Park has spectacular scenery and some fantastic random wooden carvings (see gallery below). Distance 7.4 miles, includes some hills as well as flat canal paths. Walking time approx. 3.5 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
After the walk there's the option to stay for a chat and a drink and food at the Three Locks Pub.
Free Parking
There is parking in the Three Locks Car Park, and also by the Three Locks pub.
Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
