Saturday Walk from The Rose & Crown Kings Langley

Details
This is a first time location for us, but a favourite route of about 5 miles starting with a delightful stretch of the Grand Union Canal from Kings Langley to Apsley. Then our route takes us cross country, via Shendish Manor and up into elevated woodland paths and meadows with great views across the hills, before returning down to the Rose & Crown. Walking time 2 to 2.5 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
After the walk there's the option to stay for a chat and a drink at The Rose & Crown. If you'd like to stay for a full meal you can book a table with them directly on 01923 290229.
Free Parking
Free parking is available in the pub car park at The Rose & Crown. Our walkers are welcome to use the car park, which is for patrons only; the pub are happy to consider us 'patrons' collectively, even if individually not everyone will stay for refrehsments afterwards.
Travelling from London / by Train
The nearest train station is Apsley, which is just a two minute walk from our meeting point.
Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
