Sunday Afternoon Group Picnic on Potten End Village Green

Details
Repeating last year's event, if the weather plays ball, this is a chance for the walking group to enjoy each other's company with something a bit more leisurely. Please bring a fold-up chair or blanket to sit on and whatever you want to eat and drink. If you'd like to bring a dish or food item to share to add to the spirit of the event that would be great, but it's not essential at all. If anyone wants to bring them we can play Boules and Croquet. The landlord, Gary, at the pub on the green has kindly said we may use their toilet facilities regardless of whether you're buying drinks there or not. Of course you can also get crisps there, and the village shop will be open until 2pm.
The price for the picnic is £3 to cover costs, or free if you're also attending the walk earlier in the day (follow this link for that walk).
Free Parking
There is plenty of free parking on the road alongside the village green, in side roads, and in a parking bay in front of the village hall. Please note that the pub would prefer that their own parking spaces are reserved for customers who have booked a table. If you want a hand carrying chairs and stuff you can come and find me/us first.
Travelling from London / by Train
There is now a new, on-demand bus service called HertsLynx which runs from all three nearby train stations; Berkhamsted, Tring and Hemel Hempstead. Depending on availability, you can book in advance to get from these stations to many of the walk start points for £2 each way.
The HertsLynx app is free and the service stops right outside the Martins Pond public house where we're meeting. Nearest train station is Berkhamsted.
