Thursday Evening Walk from The Woolpack, Stoke Mandeville

Details

For what is just about the height of Summer, early Summer Solstice, we've got a brand new evening walk from The Woolpack Inn, Stoke Mandeville, which should be a glorious evening weather permitting. We'll walk an all-flat route to the nearby picture postcard village of Weston Turville. As long as we're making good time we'll stop there for a quick break and optional drink at The Chequers Inn, half way round. Distance 6 miles. Walking time about 2.5 to 3 hours including break.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

After the walk there's the option of staying for a chat and a drink at The Woolpack Inn.

Free Parking
There's plenty of parking in the pub car park and they are happy for us to park there, no need to register your number plate.

Travelling from London / by Train
There is now a new, on-demand bus service called HertsLynx which runs from all three nearby train stations; Berkhamsted, Tring and Hemel Hempstead. Depending on availability, you can book in advance to get from these stations to many of the walk start points for £3 each way.

The HertsLynx app is free and the service stops right outside the Greyhound Inn / opposite the pond. Nearest train station is Tring.
