Thursday Evening Walk from The Red Lion at Chenies

This is a new 5 mile route for our first evening walk from the village of Chenies. Our route takes us around the lovely Chess Valley along parts of the River Chess, through Turveylane Wood and Frogmore Meadow and parts of The Chiltern Way. Finally, we return via the well known Chenies Manor, made popular as a filming location for various TV programmes such as 'Lewis' and 'Midsomer Murders'. Walking time approx. 2 to 2.5 hours.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

After the walk there's the option of staying for a chat and refreshments at The Red Lion pub, who have kindly reserved us a couple of tables for drinks.

Parking is on the road outside the Red Lion pub.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
