Sunday Walk: The Crooked Chimney to Brocket Hall and John Bunyan's Chimney

This is a beautiful, historical and quirky, brand new 6 mile walk from The Crooked Chimney pub on the B653 near Lemsford, taking in the opulent 18th century Brocket Hall, home to two Prime Ministers, and the remains of the cottage of John Bunyan, author of the 16th century work, The Pilgrim's Progress. The scenery includes woodland paths, meadows, bridleways, and the house and lake views and Palladian bridges of the Brocket Hall estate. Walking time approx. 2.5 hours.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

After the walk there's the option of staying for a chat, food and a drink at The Crooked Chimney.

Free Parking
There is free parking in the car park. Registering your car registration number is not required.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
