Autumn Leaves Walk: Potten End to Berkhamsted Common

This is a flat 6.5 mile walk to take in the best forest paths at this time of year now they have that lovely orange, red and brown autumn colour scheme about them, including the path pictured, which has been used in a Hollywood movie. It's also predicted that the colours will be even richer this year, due to the hot Summer. The walk includes stunning views over Berkhamsted. Walking time approx. 2.5 hours.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

After the walk there's the option to stay for a chat, drink and food by the roaring fireplace in the Martin's Pond Pub.

Free Parking
There is plenty of free parking on the road alongside the village green, in side roads, and in a parking bay in front of the village hall. Please note that the pub would prefer that their own parking spaces are reserved for customers who have booked a table.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals. These events are not for children.
