A first weekend walk from the village of Little Missenden, combining our Little Missenden evening walk route with our recent Penn Street walk for a lovely Sunday outing with some new paths between the two. This 5.9 mile route takes us from the Midsomer Murders village via bridleway up to the gorgeous Penn Woods and round Penn Street, returning via the church of St John the Baptist, where we'll hopefully pop in for a quick view of its 13th century wall paintings. Walking time approx. 2.5 hours.

The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.

After the walk there's the option to stay for a chat, drink and food in The Red Lion Pub, which has an interesting beer garden including a large carp pond and bridge.

Free Parking
There is ample parking along the road in front of the pub. There is also additional parking opposite the church.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
