Saturday Walk: West Wycombe to Bradenham
Details
This is a brand new 6 mile walk from West Wycombe, famous for the notorious Hellfire Caves half-way up the hill overlooking its High Street, which is the charming, historic heart of this National Trust-owned village. There's also the splendid building of Dashwood Mausoleum at the top of the hill, plus spectacular views from the top ridge path there to both sides - East and West - across the respective valleys. Walking time approx 2.5 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
After the walk there is the option of staying for a drink, refreshments and a chat in the George and Dragon pub in the High Street. There's also the Apple Orchard cafe opposite, for those who want a soft drink.
Parking
There's paid parking at the West Wycombe Garden Centre Car Park. For those who know their way to there down the hill path from the car park at the top of West Wycombe Hill there's free parking up there.
