50th Wine Festival Meersburg (+ Optional Ferry & Castle Visit)

I thought it would be nice to make a little Sunday trip to Meersburg together for the 50th Bodensee-Weinfest on Sunday, 13th September!
Since it’s the 50th anniversary of the festival, there will be wines from different producers around Lake Constance, regional food and live music throughout the afternoon and evening.
Rather than just meeting at the festival, I thought we could make a bit of a day out of it: take the passenger boat from Konstanz to Meersburg together, visit Burg Meersburg, and then spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at the wine festival.
Planned schedule:
1:20 pm: Meet in front of Konstanz Hauptbahnhof (in front of Reisebank)
1:55 pm: BSB passenger boat from Konstanz Hafen (tickets can be purchased online in advance)
2:25 pm: Arrival in Meersburg, then visit Burg Meersburg and head to the 50th Bodensee-Weinfest afterwards (until approx. 6 - 7pm)
Konstanz Hafen is only a short walk from the main station. The current BSB fare for Konstanz–Meersburg is €9.80 one way per adult, and tickets can also be purchased online in advance.
You don’t have to travel via Konstanz to join us. If you’re coming from another direction, you can simply meet us at Meersburg harbour at around 2:25 pm. And if you’d rather skip the castle, you’re also very welcome to join us directly at the festival. Just send me a message so we can find each other.
Once we arrive in Meersburg, we’ll walk up through the old town and visit Burg Meersburg for around an hour. Afterwards, we’ll head to the festival and spend the rest of the afternoon and evening trying some local wines, getting something to eat and enjoying the live music.
The festival runs until 9:00 pm, but of course nobody has to stay until the end.
Approximate fixed costs: BSB boat €9.80 one way, Burg Meersburg €12.80, and wine festival admission €5. Food, drinks and the festival wine glass are extra. Please also bring some cash for the festival.
Just to clarify: Meetup only allows me to set a limited number of attendees because I don’t have Meetup Plus, but of course you can simply show up — there’s no participant limit from my side.
