Schaffhausen, Singen, & Constance Social Circle

Hi everyone :)
let's spend a Sunday together at OLMA 2026 in St. Gallen on 18th October, which is also the final day of this year’s fair!
(Just to clarify: there’s no participant limit from my side, so you can join even if you end up on the waiting list!)
OLMA is Switzerland’s largest public fair for agriculture and food, with a mix of regional food and drinks, animals, exhibitions, Swiss traditions, demonstrations and various shows. This year’s guest canton is Schwyz.
I suggest meeting at 10:45 am in front of St. Gallen Hauptbahnhof at the Binäre Bahnhofsuhr. From there, we can head to the OLMA grounds together and spend the day exploring at a relaxed pace.
Rough plan for the day:
10:45 am – Meet in front of St. Gallen Hauptbahnhof at the Binäre Bahnhofsuhr
around 10.55 am – Head to OLMA together
11:15 am onwards – Explore the halls, exhibitions, animals and food/drink stands
2:15 pm – Optional arena programme: parachutists and army animals
3:00 pm – OLMA Jodlertag programme
4:00 pm – Pig race
late afternoon: Continue exploring OLMA and/or check out the neighbouring St. Gallen Herbstjahrmarkt
This is only a rough outline; there’s a lot happening throughout the day, so we can decide spontaneously what we’re most interested in seeing rather than trying to follow a strict schedule.

The St. Gallen Herbstjahrmarkt runs alongside OLMA and has more than 200 market and food stalls as well as rides and attractions, including a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, a ghost train and roller coaster. Since 18th October is the final day, the Jahrmarkt closes at 7:00 pm.

Tickets: an adult OLMA day ticket costs CHF 19 in advance (CHF 20 at the ticket counter). Students and apprentices pay CHF 14 in advance. I’d recommend buying your own ticket beforehand.
