It’s a scenic loop starting at the Aachen Cathedral (Dom) that quickly leaves the historic city center behind and leads into the surrounding countryside. Expect a mix of urban heritage, quiet forest paths, and open meadows, all within a manageable day hike of about 12–15 km.
• Starting point: Aachen Dom (Cathedral), UNESCO World Heritage site in the city center
• Distance & duration: approx. 12–15 km, 3.5–4.5 hours walking
• Difficulty: Easy to moderate – mostly flat with gentle climbs
