The Future of Quantum AI /w Matthew Neeley, Phd. Google Quantum AI

Details
While AI is going through a period of exponential development with the almost assured disruption and advancement on many different industries, Quantum Computing is also racing forward with important potential affordances to be understood in the future, with the most recent milestone of Quantum Error Correction pointing to what is next.
To help us make sense of this latest advancement and what is ahead for quantum computing we are delighted to be joined by Matthew Neeley, Phd from the Google Quantum AI team. Matthew has been part of the the quantum computing world from his PhD work at USCB and a paper in Nature on the entanglement of 3 quantum bits, to his work with the Google Quantum Computing effort since its founding. In this conversation Matthew will tell us about his journey, explain a bit about quantum physics and quantum computing, tell us why error correction is a big deal, explain why crypto-bro's shouldn't panic just yet, and share some of what the future holds for the field.
Come with your questions and curiosity!

Matthew Neeley, holds a PhD in Quantum Physics from UCSB, and is a member of the Quantum AI lab at Google, working to realize the revolutionary potential of quantum computers to speed up certain important classes of important algorithms. As a software engineer with the quantum hardware team, Matthew is working to help build and control quantum hardware with superconducting electronics.
Matthew doesn't have an online presence really, but you can get to know him through his research and the work he contributes to.
