sci-fi reading
Details
interested in critical reading, sci-fi, technology & AI?
let’s talk about it!
for my master’s thesis, I’m exploring how brain-computer interfaces are portrayed in contemporary science fiction and what these stories might tell us about current developments.
I’m hosting a small, interactive focus group (1.5–2 hours) where we’ll read short excerpts, share thoughts, and do a few guided (and slightly imaginative) exercises together.
no prep needed, but welcomed (materials will be provided during the session)
we’ll work with fragments from:
• The Dream Hotel — Laila Lalami
• The Insecure Mind of Sergei Kraev — Eric Silberstein
• Void Star — Zachary Mason
expect an open conversation about themes like privacy, control, identity, and the role of technology in everyday life, there are no right answers, just different perspectives.
this session is part of my research, but above all it’s a space to think, discuss, and imagine together.
details will be shared after registration
hope to see you there :)
ps. free food & drinks included!
