
What we’re about
We are the Science Committee at Dallas Makerspace located at 1825 Monetary Ln., Carrollton TX, 75006. Our mission is to provide Dallas Makerspace members and DFW residents with safe access to advanced lab equipment and scientific expertise usually only accessible in a university or corporate lab. Anybody can become a Dallas Makerspace member.
Our lab has the following: PCR machines for amplifying DNA, sterile hood, chemical hood (not currently working), analytical balance, C02 incubator, UV-vis spectrometer, micropipettes, chemicals and solvents, industrial robotics arms, water chiller, gel electrophoresis, glassware, bath sonicators and more.
Our members interests and projects include: biohacking, AI algorithms, nuclear fusion energy, graphene supercapacitors, weather machines, essential oil distillation, soap making and genetic testing to name a few.
If you have a lab project or general interest in Science then we're the place for you!

We have weekly informal meetings at 2:30 to 5pm every Sunday, either in person at the Science Lab area at Dallas Makerspace or virtually via Google Meet. Send us an email to get the link to the virtual meeting (it changes every week), or just stop on by!
