Genre-defying fiction

This time we're interested in hard-to-categorise books. Picture yourself as a librarian wondering whether a book belongs to the fantasy, science fiction, or even mainstream fiction section! You are thus cordially invited to briefly present one or more books that you reckon defy easy classification.

Afterwards we will have a casual and friendly chat about the books, about the subject of genre-defying fiction, and wherever else the conversation takes us!

You are of course welcome to bring the books you want to discuss, but it's also fine if you don't.
