Triangle Tolkienists: The Fellowship of the Ring (Book I)

It's finally time: we're rereading LOTR! Or experiencing it for the first time, as the case may be; new readers are welcome.

For this meeting, we will be reading Book I of The Fellowship of the Ring. This section is around 200 pages. If you want to deepen your understanding of the book (as I certainly do), follow along chapter-by-chapter in Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull's Reader's Companion. This isn't required, but if this is a reread for you, it's encouraged.

We'll meet via Discord. Most of us type, as it gives us more time to organize our thoughts and allows folks to continue the conversation after the meeting has finished; however, there is also a voice channel if you'd prefer to chat aloud.
