Securing the Backbone: Safeguarding Supply Chain against Cyber Threats (Vishal Sharma - Santander Bank UK)

As our supply chains become more digitised, the associated cyber threats grow in complexity. Vishal will guide us through the evolving risks in digital supply chains, highlight recent high-profile incidents, and provide actionable strategies to strengthen cybersecurity. This is a valuable opportunity to expand your knowledge and hone your awareness on this subject.

Vishal Sharma is the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) at Santander Bank UK, bringing a wealth of experience from his previous roles at EY, Deloitte, BAE Systems, and TechData. With 14 years of diverse experience in cybersecurity across defence, oil and gas, banking, consumer packaged goods, consumer credit, insurance, retail, and financial regulatory sectors, Vishal has led over 40 client engagements.

About Reading Geek Night

A friendly and welcoming community for enthusiasts.

Every second Tuesday of the month Reading Geek Night has talks on various topics about science, tech, design & geekery. The usual format is to gather from 7:00pm and commence the talks at 7:30pm. Talks are ~20mins + Q&A with a break of 20mins for networking and beer.

*Before the second session there is an opportunity for any short announcements so please let us know on the night if you would like a slot or 1-2mins.
