Science Technology Future Community is a way for thoughtful people to get together and exchange problems, ideas and solutions. It is a positive, collaborative, conversation about relevant topics to our modern life, with a focus on understanding how our world works so we can set up our society, and our own lives, for success.

This week's topic is: What is the role of emotion in technological progress? How do you view emotion? Is it something to be ignored? Listened to? Can it be a part of our technology or is it something that must stay separate and only the domain of humans?

Summary of the previous meeting: three attendees discussed how to be informed in today’s information rich culture. We arrived at the question: How can we be a better community in a democracy? We discuss our experience of the bias in news reporting of events we personally attended. We ended up discussing emotional awareness and how that is a critical first step to interpreting the world and information presented to us.
