The Mars Society - San Diego Movie Night -- "THE MARS DAYBREAK" (2004)--Anime - Volume 1.

It has been generations since Mars (somehow covered by oceans) was colonized by Earth, and various colonies have sprung up on its surface and within its seas. The economy on Mars is in bad shape, and people have begun to find work scarce and life difficult. Gram River is a skilled mecha worker in one of these colonies, and life seems pretty normal until a series of events finds him on the notorious pirate ship, the Aurora, and making friends with its very un-piratey crew - a gaggle of people who oppose the Earth military for humanitarian reasons.
Showtime is at 7:00pm at Studio 106 -- please RSVP to filmist at mac dot com.
