Station Eleven ✨ by Emily St. John Mandel - Book discussion
Details
This year we are trying something new by reading SciFi from across the world! We're starting with the book Station Eleven by Canadian Author Emily St. John Mandel. This book takes place in the Great Lakes / Ontario region and follows a nomadic group of actors and musicians. It focuses on how human culture and art survive in a post-apocalyptic world.
Station Eleven won the Arthur C. Clarke Award in 2015, and a TV adaption premiered on HBO Max in December 2021. You can read the story, watch the TV show, or both!
Feel free to reach out to me beforehand if you have any questions. The next book will be Invention of Morel by Adolfo Bioy Casares (from Argentina).
