THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

Data is now permeating bure types of data to be assessed and utilised commercially. The knock on from that is that there becomes a wide sinesses like never before. That proliferation means that there are more people specialising in using data within organisations, more companies selling data-related services and mospectrum in the nature, application and impact that data can have on a business. We have spent many years marketing and selling data-services and its many business applications, and this presentation is a whistle stop tour through our views on the best and worst parts we have seen, and thoughts on improvement and consistency across the industry.

Ariel M’ndange-Pfupfu is one of The Data Incubator (https://www.thedataincubator.com/)’s Data Scientists in Residence at their DC office. He is a Ph.D engineer turned data scientist new to DC after almost ten years living in Chicago.

He’s particularly interested in using data to explore human behavior and decision making, and outside work he enjoys social dance, amateur sailing, and both video and board games. He is Databricks Spark Certified and leads most of the the The Data Incubator’s corporate trainings.
