Organisers Meeting

NEW ORGANISERS NEEDED !

We are holding an organisers meeting on Tuesday 23rd April at 17:15 in Edinburgh.

Please let me know if you would like to attend ...If you are coming from out of town and need a bed for the night you are welcome to stay the night at my house.....I have a number of guest bedrooms.

The objective of the meeting is to decide the future direction of SfE&R. What are the goals of our group? What do we want to achieve ? Where should our focus be? What projects can we initiate to achieve our goals?

It was a very difficult and extremely upsetting decision that we took to cancel our march this year. SfE&R has been involved in this movement from day 1 with the first iWorry campaign march in 2013 and it was a dreadful shame that we were not there this year. However we are determined to have the best event next year!!!

I am sure, like me, many of you are feeing totally disheartened by what is happening in Africa and particularly Botswana (which was a beacon of hope for elephants under Ian Kama's rule)....but we cannot give up. I have given it much thought and believe that we have to be a lot more active in our group, engage people across the length and breadth of Scotland especially the young generation and so it is to this end that we are holding an organisers meeting, We need new ideas, enthusiasm , commitment and ACTION.

If you can attend the meeting in person that will be fantastic. If you cannot attend in person but you are interested in being an active participant please share your ideas here (or if you prefer message me privately).
