Volleyball is the "Sara Lee" of sports ! ( Everybody likes it ) Come play in the sand with other "40 something" folks. We do have events with players under 40 years old, but for the most part our drop-in is for people over 40 years old.
Don't worry if you're not an Olympic contender ... emphasis is on fun ! Rules are relaxed ...
We strive to Bump, Set, and Spike, and for safety reasons require Players to stay out of the net, and play your position ( 2nd hit by Setter unless "Help" is called )
Scotland's Yard has night lights for those that like to play into the evening. You can also Relax at Tiki Bar between games, and have fireside chats in the evening . Court side speakers play your favorite Beach music. A barbecue is also available for grilling your favorite meal. Sunglasses & Sunscreen recommended. Bring your best friend ( even if they walk on all fours )
Be respectful - Respect your fellow players by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive. Respect the organizers who take the time to post, set-up and manage this group.
Think before you speak - Not everyone is at the same level of play and pointing that out constantly makes for poor team work. Even the best players have their weaknesses.
You don't have to bring a team or know anyone to attend one of our meetups. Many people that come out their first time have just moved to the Denver area and/or have no acquaintances or friends that play volleyball.
