Hard A+ 2 Munros Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ime
Details
Starting at the NB first public car park on the left driving in from Glasgow/tarbet, we follow the direct Beinn Narnain walk highlands route. After only 50 meters or so on the main track, we turn right into a feint, fairly steep path through overgrown ferns and trees which leads eventually to open hillside and the 1950s hydro electric 'sleeper' concrete slabs. Hopefully great views fairly quickly of loch long.
Conditions should be far drier than normal on this route. Due to the ferns/branches however, i recommend a long sleeve etc top through the overgrowth.
A short flat section gives a break before we ascend cruach name miseag and a fairly easy gully to the right of the 'spearhead' buttress. After a few 'false' summits we hit the trig point and a break before heading on to the much easier grassy Beinn ime path and summit. Retreating footsteps back to the main bealach beside the Cobbler we then head down via the 'zig zag' or tourist path to the start.
Please note: This walk is not guided in any sense and I hold no outdoor qualifications other than minor navigation certification. I've climbed this route several times however my role in this event is mainly to facilitate the group getting together at the start point and to offer advice on our route. We will walk as a group at a moderate pace. Please note you are solely responsible for your own safety. Please only sign up if you are happy with this.
