With some bike and hikes coming up, i'm planning on a couple of cycle rides to try and improve fitness.

This route is the popular Forth & Clyde canal path from the west end of Glasgow to Old Kilpatrick, we'll then turn onto the more difficult and well known Kilpatrick brae track for some hill practice. We'll come back the same way and so it's easy to do as much as you fancy. It's definitely not a race - it's all about improving/safely getting practice. It's a good broad track, though more gravelly near the top, we can aim for Loch Humphrey- i'll definitely be pushing the bike up at some points. We'll return down the brae same way to Old Kilpatrick and cycle the 2km approx to Bowling Harbour for lunch at Patons place cafe/sit outside.

After lunch planning to return along the canal to Lock 27. If folk require there's even the luxury possible of getting the train back 😲.

Meet at Lock 27 pub on the canal; https://maps.app.goo.gl/EN5reyGL9fve7znx7

Lock 27 is at the top of Crow road (Its a cul de sac/road end) and there's free on street parking.

A mountain or gravel bike is recommended, though a hire bike/hybrid is possible too.

For any queries on day i'm on 07901 987769.
