Details
A popular and reasonably straightforward Corbett with superb views over Stac Pollaidh and Suilven.
TERRAIN
Excellent stalkers path for the approach. There is a wetter section, and a short boulderfield on the approach to the summit. Some pathless terrain.
ROUTE
https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/ullapool/culmor.shtml
The route initially follows a well defined stalkers path before climbing a a broad slope, heathery and wet in places underfoot. There is a faint path which deteriorates in the boggy sections. After two kilometres of gentle climbing the ground levels out to form a plateau before the final steep climb across a boulderfield to the summit of Cul Mòr. The summit is marked by a cairn and a trig point with a stone shelter. On a fine day there are spectacular views out to sea and across the surrounding landscape of Assynt and Coigach.
