Starting from Renton Train Station we will ascend Carman Muir to the West, navigating around Carman Reservoir before proceeding North to the summit of Bromley Muir which offers fantastic views over Loch Lomond, the Vale of Leven, and Inverclyde.
After enjoying a short break at the summit, we will continue North to Stoneymollan Muir before descending East into Balloch where we will return by train from Balloch to Renton (2 stops). Please ensure you have money to cover train fare (currently £2.90) if required.

Walk will be subject to reasonable weather forecast on the day, therefore please check this posting for any update 2 days prior to event.

TERRAIN
We will be following paths and grassy hill tracks which can be boggy in a couple of places and therefore firm waterproof footwear recommended.

The Scottish Hillwalkers and Activities Group recognises that hill walking, scrambling and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
PACE
You must have the fitness and stamina to complete the walk without difficulty. We will walk as a group at a **moderate pace**
CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
You must ensure that you come adequately prepared for this walk, with waterproofs (if rain forecast), warm clothes, gloves and hat and food and water.
We do no expect to be walking in the dark, however given that this is an evening walk please bring head torch incase we face any unexpected delays.

LIFTS/TRAVEL/MEETUP TIME
Meeting at carpark at Renton Railway Station, Ready to start walking at 18:30
Start time has been chosen to coincide with the Balloch Train arriving at Renton station (18:27). This train leaves from Airdrie, following the high level Queen Street station line and offers good form of transport to the start of the walk. If travelling by train, please purchase return ticket to Balloch as we will be returning by train from Balloch to Renton at end of walk.

Please remember the organiser is not the leader of the walk - we lead ourselves and make decisions and walk AS A GROUP. If you don't like the sound of that, perhaps this walk is not for you :-)
