A cycle loop from Lochwinnoch to Kilbarchan and back, stopping to explore and enjoy some of the interesting sights along the way, including Castle Semple Loch, Kenmure Hill Temple Folly and the ancient Clochoderick Stane. We can stop at the Lochwinnoch Visitor Centre for coffee on the way back.

Pace: slow to moderate.

Distance: 23.5km
Elevation: 246m

Starting point is Lochwinnoch Rail Station. If you're travelling by train from Glasgow (southbound) you'll have to carry your bike up two flights of stairs, as there's no lift at the station. On the northbound platform there is stair-free access.

Please bring your own bike and helmet. Cycle lights are also advisable if you've a long journey back.

Bring water and lunch or snacks - alternatively you can buy sandwiches at the Co-op in Kilbarchan.
