Moderate: The Knock (Largs)
Details
Following the Ayrshire Coastal Path this route takes us to the top of the Knock. A straightforward route mostly on tarmac the hill overlooks Largs and Cumbrae. The summit of The Knock is the site of a vitrified iron age hill fort with the remains of a turf-covered rampart.
Meet at Car Park opposite Nardinis to start walking at 10am.

The Scottish Hillwalkers and Activities Group recognises that hill walking, scrambling and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
PACE
You must have the fitness and stamina to complete the walk without difficulty. We will walk as a group at a moderate pace with short breaks.
CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
You must ensure that you come adequately prepared for this walk, with hillwalking boots, waterproofs, warm clothes, spare gloves, hat, food and water/hot drink.
