Details

Situated in Kilmarnock the castle and its surrounding country park is a delightful day out.The castle has an excellent display of medieval weaponry and historical features relating to the castle(also of interest it featured in an episode of Outlander).We will also do a route called the Countryside trail round the park .Theres a cafe at the car park where we can enjoy a tea/coffee after the walk.
TERRAIN

Trail walking along the Countryside trail well signposted.Couple of sections where there's an incline to go up but they're short distances.See map details on the link below for route.

We will meet at the car- park at the country park .If you need a lift please use the comments box below to ask for one.If receiving a lift, agree beforehand with your driver how you're splitting costs, share contact details and keep car tidy.
Please arrive ready to walk. We will only wait for 5 minutes before leaving.

Please remember the organiser is not the leader of the walk - we lead ourselves and make decisions and walk AS A GROUP. If you don't like the sound of that, perhaps this walk is not for you :-)
